Every year the Texas Building Branch of AGC (Associated General Contractors) sponsors the Outstanding Construction Awards competition. Projects are judged on difficulty in construction resulting from design, location, materials, etc.; unusual construction techniques involved; final appearance and quality of the finished product; timeliness of completion; and utilization of AGC members.
Accelerated Development Service’s San Antonio partners, Alpine Contracting, have been nominated for the Facade Renovation at their Forum Crossing shopping center in San Antonio. President of Accelerated Development Services, Dave Cheatham, had this to say about the nomination: “The building is located at the foreground of a major retail area, and our challenge was to bring the building up to current design standards, and create storefront facades that provide our tenants with the most visibility from the freeway. We were able to accomplish this by designing the new facade to achieve those goals. Alpine did a fantastic job carrying out the design.”
The redevelopment will compete in the ‘Building 2 ($2 – 5 million)’ category. The state winners will be announced at the 2016 AGC Texas Building Branch Convention, June 12-15 at Horseshoe Bay Resort.
