Kingman, Arizona. Sears Hometown will be opening a new 7,600 square foot store at Kingman Crossing, located at the southeast corner of Interstate 40 and Stockton Hill Road in Kingman, Arizona. They will join 99 Cent Only in the tenant lineup for this newly redeveloped shopping center. The Sears store is expected to open this summer as they are relocating their existing store currently operating nearby.
The property is being jointly developed by Accelerated Development Services and Wadsworth Development and is undergoing a complete redevelopment and update, transforming the center from a tired neighborhood grocery-location-turned call-center into a vibrant and modern property. “We have received a high level of interest from tenants to locate into this center. They are excited to have an opportunity to be at the main retail hub for the market and to be part of a redevelopment project which will promote their retail concepts with prominent storefronts and a fresh modern look ,” said Dave Cheatham, Managing Principal at Accelerated Development. “Sears Hometown is a terrific addition and we’re excited to have them as part of this redevelopment.”
The ownership group is in the midst of the redevelopment which includes updated store fronts, a fresh modern color palate, huge freeway sign, new landscaping and parking lot paving. Lisa Peterson, owner of the Sears Hometown had this to say about the new location, “Our store is one of the first Sears Hometown stores opened in the chain. We have been in the Kingman market in the same location since we opened in 1995, and have enjoyed serving our growing customer base. We are excited to be part of this renovated shopping center which will give us greater visibility and the opportunity to modernize and update our store.”
“It’s been rewarding working on this project as in a very short period of time tenants were able to see our vision, and expressed interest in locating in the center. I almost wish we had more space to lease to accommodate the tenant demand,” added Cheatham.
