Sprouts Farmers Market in Sahuarita opened and hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony to commemorate the event.
Accelerated Development Services in partnership with Wadsworth Development Group welcomed the 29,748 square foot Sprouts Farmers Market during their grand opening. The project is located at the southeast corner of Nogales Highway and Abrego Drive in Sahuarita, Arizona, which is about 20 minutes south of Tucson.
“The rain, cold and clouds did not sway the crowds as several hundred people were lined up for nearly two hours before the store officially opened at 6:50 am this morning,” said Trey Eakin, Senior Vice President of Accelerated Development Services. “Sprouts is an exciting and fresh grocery concept that has been anxiously anticipated in the market. We were pleased to have been instrumental in this process,” he added. The 150,000 square foot shopping center is the first major retail center to be constructed in Sahuarita in several years. Tom Murphy, Mayor of Sahuarita was on hand to welcome the crowds and was very excited to see Sprouts finally open in Sahuarita.
Other notable tenants who will be opening soon are PetSmart, TJ Maxx, Beall’s Department Store and several restaurants and shops to compliment the diverse tenant mix. Velocity Retail Group leads the leasing team for the ownership group which also includes The Volk Company as co-listing agents. “The center will be kicking off a grand opening late spring and we will have additional tenant announcements at that time,” said Dave Cheatham, President of Velocity Retail Group.
